Columbia, SC – On April 13, 2012, Carl L. Solomon delivered closing remarks at the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys’ Association (SCDTAA) Trial Superstars™ CLE. The mock trial covered the case originally involving Marc Buoniconti v. The Citadel, team trainer Andy Clawson and team physician Dr. E. K. Wallace, Jr.. The Citadel and Clawson were eventually removed as defendants and the case continued as Buoniconti v. Wallace in 1988. Wallace was found not to be liable.
Now, twenty-four years later, Solomon and other top South Carolina attorneys convened in Charleston, arguing the case to see if the outcome would be the same. This time, they were aided by digital presentations, a real-time webcast and juries from both Charleston and Hampton counties. Solomon stated, “this simulated trial allowed the attorneys to test and improve the skills we have been practicing for years, I was honored to be chosen to give the closing.”
