Carl L. Solomon gives opening remarks at AIJA 48th Annual Congress
Columbia, SC – South Carolina Bar President and Columbia attorney Carl L. Solomon was on hand at the opening ceremonies for the AIJA 48th Congress, Charleston 2010. The International Association of Young Lawyers, based in Belgium, is the only global association representing international attorneys and in-house counsel ages 45 and under.
“I was pleased to join the AIJA President and organizing committee, South Carolina State Representative David Mack, Chief Justice Jean Hoefer Toal, and Charleston’s Mayor Aubrey Alexander in welcoming members of the AIJA Congress to South Carolina,” says Solomon. “The AIJA provides a valuable resource for young attorneys interested in the international aspects of the law. As the global economy grows and more business is done internationally, the AIJA will help those in the legal profession expand their skill sets to meet this need.”
Solomon recently formed The Solomon Law Group and is President of the South Carolina Bar. He was previously a partner in the law firm of Gergel, Nickles & Solomon, which disbanded after the nomination of Richard M. Gergel to the District Court Bench for the District of South Carolina.
The Solomon Law Group represents clients throughout South Carolina including Columbia, Charleston, Greenville, Spartanburg, Myrtle Beach, Beaufort, and Rock Hill. The firm handles serious injury cases, wrongful death, product liability, and other complex cases.
