South Carolina Attorney Carl Solomon elected to SC Bar Board of Governors
Columbia, SC – Columbia attorney Carl L. Solomon has been elected Treasurer of the South Carolina Bar Association Board of Governors for the 2009-2010 term.
The South Carolina Bar has over 12,500 members who are licensed to practice law in the state of South Carolina. Membership includes practicing and retired attorneys and judicial members. The Bar provides education and resources to members.
“I look forward to this new role in supporting the South Carolina Bar,” says Carl L. Solomon. “The association provides valuable educational opportunities and resources to its members and to the public. Many South Carolina residents may not be aware that the Bar offers programs for elementary through high school aged students that allow them to learn more about the law.” Programs include Foundations of Democracy, Teen Law 101, and mock-trials.
Solomon is a partner in the Gergel, Nickles and Solomon law firm which represents clients throughout South Carolina including Columbia, Charleston, Greenville, Spartanburg, Myrtle Beach, Beaufort, and Rock Hill. The firm handles serious injury cases, wrongful death, product liability, and other complex cases. The firm was founded in 1983 and has five attorneys admitted to practice in South Carolina.
