“My father and I started The Solomon Community Group in 2009 to provide scholarships and direct programs that encourage personal growth of the underserved citizens of South Carolina,” says Carl L. Solomon, the group’s co-founder. “The Solomon Community Group also partners with charitable organizations with similar missions to offer support to other communities in need. The Benefit Bank’s mission fits well with that of The Solomon Community Group.” The Benefit Bank trains volunteers to help low income South Carolina residents with their taxes, as well as assisting them in applying for benefits like Medicaid, the low-income energy assistance program and voter registration, among others.

The Solomon Community Group is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization which serves South Carolina by offering programs, scholarships and events and partnering with other community groups. Their mission is to increase the self-worth, self-advancement, and self-discipline of the people they serve.
